It has the light that flickers when you're close and stays solid green when you're facing the diamonds, it had the same exact ping noise when it blinks, AND the screen on it broken, which adds to the idea that Longinus (formerly Prosper Kuwasi, if you're a fan of that video) had the tracker for quite some time after FC2 and it subsequently got broken throughout his travels before arriving in Kyrat in FC4. During the first of Longinus's missions you're up in the Himalayas searching for the infamous blood diamonds, and you use THE SAME tracking device your character uses in FC2. One thing that this video didn't cover was, to me, a pretty glaring piece that connects DIRECTLY into FC2, and that is another aspect of the Longinus missions in FC4.
